Service Groups
Altar Guild

A large group of cheerful ladies comprise the Altar Guild who are busy behind the scenes helping to make make our worship smooth and serene. Some of their many responsibilities include the setting up of communion each week for Sunday services, maintaining care of all church linens/supplies / stoles, and banners; ordering of church supplies, setting up of the sanctuary for occasions, holidays and funerals. They also maintain a yearly flower chart. They are an invaluable part of the Lamb of God volunteers who quietly work to make our worship services and events calm and peaceful.
Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML)

The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) is an official auxiliary of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. Since 1942 the LWML has focused on affirming each woman’s relationship with Christ, encouraging and equipping women to live out their Christian lives in active mission ministries and to support global missions.
Mission Statement
As Lutheran women in missions, we joyfully proclaim Christ, support missions, and equip women to honor God by serving others.
Lamb of God women gather on the second Saturday of each month.
JOY Jesus, Others, You

Welcome to JOY Jesus Others and You! Our group is dedicated to studying God's Word, fostering fellowship through gathering together, and giving back to the community. We invite you to come join us as we grow in faith and support one another on this meaningful journey. Together, let's make a positive impact and deepen our connection with each other and God!
Table Talk at a local restaurant

A lively group of Lamb of God members meets at a local restaurant on the 4th Tuesday of each month from 6-8 PM for wonderful food, interesting discussion on a variety of topics, and fellowship with one another. The group welcomes all to join them.
Youth Group

Our youth group has had the opportunity to partner with our sister congregation, Open Arms, in the planning and financing of attending the 2025 National Youth Gathering in New Orleans. The youth group focuses on Christian fellowship within the congregation and in the community.
Praise Caroling

The Praise Team visit homes of the homebound. They sing 5 or 6 hymns, pray with the member and close with the Lord’s Prayer. A small gift from the church is given. The visits are a blessing to both those visited and those who visit.
JOY Quilters

JOY Quilters group was started and led in the Slidell Community by Elva Ellerman about forty years ago. Giving to the community is the mission of the group that currently meets at Lamb of God Lutheran Church on the last Monday and Tuesday of the month except December, June and July. Although many of the group are members at Lamb of God, anyone can participate. We have various jobs available for all skill levels. The group works with donated fabric to make various sizes of tied quilts. The quilts are sold year around. The money is distributed in May to community groups; currently Community Christian Concern and STARC. Quilts are also donated several times per year to the Slidell Cancer Center, Pregnancy Help Center, and CCC. Fabric scraps are collected into old pillowcases and given to the Slidell Animal Shelter.
Trustees

A huge THANK YOU to all our Trustees who take care of the maintenance of our beautiful church facility and grounds. Below is Mark Ellermann keeping the grass trimmed and cut. Bruce Dupre, Mike Poche, Dale Mahnke and and Bob Henderson round out the dedicated committee that volunteers numerous hours in service to Lamb of God taking care of the water, sewage, alarm and sprinkler systems as well as the grounds (grass cutting, weed eating, cutting, blowing, edging, landscaping and gardening). They also maintain the air conditioning and heating systems, replace light bulbs and monitor janitor service and are responsible for all contracts, insurance and inspections.
